The notorious big ready to die album zip6/26/2023 ![]() This is a great understatement of what the album discusses but it will have to do for the sake of brevity. The album then shows the experiences that ghetto kids go through, such as crime, sex ("Big Poppa", "One More Chance", "Fuck Me"), dreaming of leaving the ghetto ("Juicy", "Everyday Struggle"), love and tragedy ("Me & My Bitch", "Friend of Mine"), and overall ghetto struggles. I always interpreted this as Biggie saying that kids are born "ready to die" in the ghetto. The whole album revolves around how he is "ready to die", meaning that he as a kid from the hood can die at any time, however, he is ready for it. A young, stressed out, ex-drug dealer who just wants to leave the horrible conditions he's grown up in. I always thought that this album perfectly encapsulated Biggie at the time of the recording of this album. !!!! DON'T FEEL BAD ABOUT BEING LATE !!!! Discussion throughout the week is encouraged. How has this album affected hip-hop? WHY do you like this tape? What are the best tracks? Do you think it deserves the praise it gets? Is it the first time you've listened to it? What's your first impression? Have you listened to the artist before? Explain why you like it or why you don't. It's fine for you to drop by just to say you love the album, but let's try and step it up a bit!!! This is your chance to practice being a critic. Avoid vague statements of praise or criticism. This is an open thread for you to share your thoughts on the album. Praised for his flow, storytelling and (semi)autobiographical lyrics about life on the streets, Biggie was able to cement his legacy as one of hip hops all time greatest. ![]() Another highly important album for the East Coast Renaissance, Ready to Die was both a critical and commercial hit and would launch Biggie into stardom. Ready to Die was the first album to be released on Bad Boy Records and would be the only Biggie album released during his lifetime. (aka Biggie Smalls), released on September 13,1994. ![]() ( !/album/Ready+To+Die/1085977)īackground/Description: Ready to Die is the debut album by Brooklyn, New York rapper The Notorious B.I.G.
